Nigeria's Capital since 1991, Abuja is a young, purpose-built city, developped in the 1980's to alleviate the problems associated with the over-population of Lagos. It has, for obvious reasons, very little historical background, but the atmosphere here is extremely friendly, much quieter than Lagos.
