Tarapoto - Perú, Is located in the jungle of Perú limit with Brazil. Firts of all no matter where hotel you stay because you are going to go out all the day in tours because there is a LOT to see , the most famous places are definetely the waterfalls which are really amazing , they are a gift from nature and you also can swim there , another place is a kind of mini island but actually is lake wich is called "laguna azul" (blue lake) and there you can spend the day swimming or in the jet ski , for lunch you have a dish which is made with fish and leaf of "bijao" that give a special taste to it , all this with a huge glass of "cocona" (typical drink of tarapoto). In the night you can go to the nighclubs of the center , the most famous is one called "Anaconda" that offer music and drinks until the dawn. like you see tarapoto is a destination for everybody!

Lovely town in the lower amazon, much less know by tourists – cannot see why! Hang out in the square, sample BBQ fish cooked in big palm leaves, refresh and relax in the nearby waterfalls. Slow pace and sunshine haven. Also a great place to learn about local plants - they even have a university dedicated to it. Or meet a local shaman and experience spending a few days on your own in a tambo – thatched roof hut – and reflect on your life or go on a longer "dieta" and experience powerful peruvian way of healing. Much more than a holiday, a life–changing experience!
