If you're in the area, definitely check out the Newquay Aquarium. As well as some of the local shops.

Picturesque. Great for walking along the coast. The South West Coast Path is well marked and easy for moat stretches.

We were here on our honeymoon in October so we don't know what it is like during the season. It was the first week of our trip after our hectic wedding so we wanted to stay in a really nice hotel on the Cornish Coast and just relax. The hotel we chose just happened to be in Newquay. I got the sense that it was the UK version of Panama City, FL or a surfing town in California. It was very beach vacation oriented. You don't see a lot of Americans there. I am glad we went, but I don't think I would go back. If we went back to Cornwall, we would stay somewhere like St. Ives.
