Market Street is a little touristy with lots of locals. Very busy during the summer months. Privately owned businesses with lots of charm. Breeze off the water making for nice strolling weather.
Amazing small city -- great shopping, galleries, restaurants etc. Spend an afternoon walking around here.
It's a city by the water with the friendliest people I've ever met on the East Coast. It's also super dog friendly- every boutique allowed me to bring my dog in to explore. There is no shortage of smiles, small, historical buildings and greenery to satisfy everyone. If you like the small town feel, then you will love it here!
Portsmouth is a beautiful port city with a lot to do around it. There are an assortment of bars, restaurants, and stores to suit anyone's needs. Highly recommend giving this town a visit. While some may not like this, I love some of the graffiti art hidden around. If you explore enough you just might find some that speaks to you.
