Clean, simple, good value

Friendly staff who were able to accommodate a late check in. Fantastic location in a quiet street. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and a short walk to the Prado and airport bus. Rooms are clean and simple, but great value. Online booking available. Would recommend.

Nice stay

The price for the room was very good. The hostal is not far from the train station so you have easy acess to everywhere you want to go. The room was clean, we had a nice stay.
The bathroom was a little small but all in all satisfying.

Family Run Hostal

This is a family run hostal in a vibrant neighborhood of Madrid. It's within walking distance of Atocha Train station as well as museums. There are good dining options available within a short walk from the front door. My room was small but clean and well appointed.

Good value for money

The location is good. Near to the Prado and other museums. You can walk from Atocha railway station where the airport bus also stops. However, it is all uphill.
The room and bathroom were small but they use all the space cleverly and it is functional. It does not feel too small.
Clean, everything works, free wifi and a surprisingly modern security system.
It really is good value for money.
There were no cons for us, but for other people there might be two. The beds are not long and would be a bit short for anybody over 6 ft/1 meter 80 cm.
There is no airco. At night there was some noise from the street. We just closed the window. However, we were there in April. In summer it is hotter.

Almost in the heart of Madrid

This was bad:
- very small bathroom
- cold (october)
- non english speaking crew
- wi-fi problems (not always working)
- noise at night - "paper" walls :)
This was good:
- near the city center
- clean
- cheap
