Travelers can book flights to Nevis via Spirit Airlines from St. Maarten on Saturdays or on Cape Air, Seaborne, Tradewind Aviations or Air Sunshine from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Nevis.

Most visitors to Nevis choose to hire a taxi to get from the airport to their hotels, which will cost about $12. A tour of the island helps visitors become familiar with the 21-mile main road before they decide to rent a car, bike, walk or try the privately owned mini buses. If you choose to rent a car, you must get a $20 visitor driver's license and then be prepared to drive on the left. Renting a car might be easier than relying upon the buses because they do not run on set schedules.
