Leaving Corpus Christi International Airport

Corpus Christi International Airport is quite small, with only six gates. You won’t have any problem sliding in a mere half hour before your flight, as the lines tend to be short. If you’re hungry or thirsty, you’ll have to settle for the Coastal Bend restaurants, which offer Tex Mex fare. You won’t be able to do any shopping beyond the newsstand at Corpus Christi International Airport, so plan accordingly.

Arriving in Dallas

When you touch down at Dallas’ Love Field Airport, you’ll be able to easily find your way to baggage claim and grab your stuff. Afterward, you can either head to the DART bus system, which services the Dallas area and can drop you at the railway station, or you can head to the taxi stand.

Getting a rideshare ride is probably the best choice unless you plan on sticking around in Dallas for quite a while. Rideshares are cheap, quick, and have better coverage than the DART buses, which are limited to downtown and a few other major points. Cabs are of average quality, but they’re still a bit more expensive than rideshare apps.

Enjoying Dallas

Dallas is in the same time zone as Corpus Christi, has the same climate, and is mostly in the same price range as far as food and services go. Dallas has a bit more of a big city feeling, however, so you should be able to find a few more niches than you’d find in Corpus Christi.

Dallas has a rich cultural scene which combines Texas with Mexico and adds a dash of the up and coming vibe from tech hubs like Austin, too. Be sure to check out the Tex Mex cuisine, the Cowboy Museum, and many of the historical landmarks peppered around the city. Make sure to dress light, as the Dallas heat can be tough to deal with on the best of days.
