Flights to Singapore
UK airport review site Skytrax has ranked Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) as the world's best airport for several years in a row. In 2015, more than 55 million passengers flew to Singapore through this facility at the northeastern end of the city. Getting to the downtown area 10 miles away is easy and convenient thanks to a first-rate public transportation system of buses and underground trains. Traffic is restricted on many of the smaller streets as a way of fighting air pollution, so you can rely upon Singapore's excellent public transportation system to get where you want to go.
Just 12 miles away from Changi, Seletar Airport (XSP) has received upgrades so that it can handle some of the larger airport's overflow flights to Singapore. Singapore has seven other airports as well, but these are reserved for military air traffic.

The Singapore Flier is one of the world's largest Ferris wheels, and it offers commanding views of the skyline and adjacent greenery. Nearby, you'll find the Botanic Gardens where some of the last swaths of native rainforest remain untouched along with other indigenous plants and more than 1,000 species of orchids.
Singapore has some outstanding museums as well, including the National Museum, which explores the island city's history, and the Peranakan Museum, which is dedicated to Singapore's culture. The best art collection in Singapore is in the Ritz-Carleton Hotel's lobby where you'll find treasures by contemporary artists like Frank Stella and Andy Warhol.
