Summers can be very hot and humid in Kuwait City with high temperatures reaching well above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If you plan to be outdoors, you may find it a good idea to limit your activities to the cooler times of the day.

For authentic cuisine, try the “qabot,” Kuwaiti's own style of dumpling that contains ground meat with raisins served in a tomato broth. You should not eat, drink or smoke in public during the fasting days of Ramadan. However, at the end of the fasting period, you can enjoy plenty of food in recognition of the Eid al-Fitr holiday. Be sure to pack some modest clothing as well to fit in with the local culture.
