If you wish to take a non-stop flight on this route, however, there are just two choices of airlines that fly direct to Panama City from Los Angeles LAX: United and COPA Airlines. Los Angeles International Airport – What To Expect
There are nine passenger terminals at LAX, the world's fourth busiest airport. When taking a direct flight out of Los Angeles International Airport to Panama City using COPA or United Airlines, your flight will depart from the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT), newly opened in 2013. This terminal has a wide variety of restaurants and cafes, both before and after TSA security checkpoints. This modern terminal also hosts many diverse shopping opportunities, from newspaper stands to designer clothing shops.
There is a courtesy shuttle service at LAX running every ten minutes to take passengers between terminals and from the C Parking Lot departures level, 24 hours a day. There is also a shuttle that runs back and forth to the Metro Rail Green line Aviation Station.
Documents Needed To Fly From Los Angeles To Panama City
On this route, you will be flying into Panama City Tocumen International Airport. In order to travel to and enter Panama you will need to have a US passport that is valid for at least three months after your return flight back to the US. Check your passport expiration date carefully. If you need to renew your passport before traveling to Panama City, it can take up to six weeks or longer to receive a new document.
You will also need to purchase a five-dollar Tourist Card in order to stay in Panama for up to 180 days. If you intend to remain in Panama for a longer period of time, you will need to arrange for a change of migratory status visa through a Panamanian lawyer.
Panama City – Tocumen Airport
Upon arriving at Panama City, you will go through Immigration and Baggage Claim before being able to exit the terminal. There is just one main terminal, making travel easier throughout this airport. Signs are in both English and Spanish. If you need a rental car, there are rental desks within the terminal. For a cab, walk out of the terminal, where there is a taxi queue waiting.
