The Airports in Miami and Barcelona

Two airports in the Miami area offer flights to Barcelona: Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The vast majority of flights depart from Miami International, the primary airport in the city. Located 8 miles northwest of downtown Miami, the airport is the busiest in the state of Florida. MIA has three terminals and six concourses. Most flights to Barcelona depart from the central terminal.  Multiple airlines offer flights to the Spanish capital, including nonstop flights from Finnair, British Airways, and Iberia. At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, you can also fly nonstop to Barcelona from Norwegian Airlines.

Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) is the primary airport in Barcelona and is located about 7 miles southwest of the city center. The airport has two terminals, although flights from Miami will arrive at Terminal 1. When you get to Barcelona-El Prat, the fastest way to get to the city is by Aerobus. You could also take the subway or rapid bus from Terminal 1. Of course, if you'd like to avoid public transportation, you could take a taxi or rent a car.
