Cheap Flights to Anaa Airport
Anaa is a tiny island in French Polynesia. It lies 270 miles east of Tahiti itself and comprises a ring of coral and volcanic rock that surrounds an interior lagoon. The total area of Anaa varies between 35 and 40 square miles, depending on erosion and buildup. The land area comprises 23 square miles. The lagoon is completely enclosed and is a true "lake in an ocean," although there are channels to the open sea.
It is not possible to fly directly from any location in the United States. You have to fly first to Papeete Airport (PPT) in Tahiti and then either charter a private plane or take one of Air Tahiti's Beechcraft or Twin Otter propeller planes for one of the cheap flights to Anaa Airport (AAA). Before departing for French Polynesia, it would be wise for you to secure passage on one of these special Air Tahiti flights or other charters so that you don't interrupt your itinerary.
