Although routes from William P. Hobby are available, most visitors coming from Houston rely on George Bush Intercontinental for their airport of choice. The airfield is 23 miles from downtown, at the intersection of Highway 59, I-45, and I-69.
It is United Airlines biggest flight hub for passenger transportation, and is a focal point for the smaller domestic carrier, Spirit Airlines. Over 40 million foreign and domestic visitors are flown through the airport’s five terminals every year. You can easily move throughout the facility via the underground inter-terminal train.
