Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) is the main international airport servicing the entire country. Most visitors who fly to the Czech Republic will land there. The airport has four terminals, although only Terminals 1 and 2 are used for commercial flights. In addition to many restaurants and shops, there are also currency exchange booths, VIP services and free Wi-Fi.
Several bus lines make regular stops at the airport, and travelers can also rent a car at the terminal kiosk. Taxi fare from the airport into Prague's center is $22 for the 11-mile journey. There are several golf resorts and shopping outlets near the airport.

With temperatures in the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit, summers in the Czech Republic are warm. The winter months are characterized by occasional snowstorms and temperatures in the 30s. Czech holidays often follow the dates and practices of the pagan celebrations of the local's ancestors. The celebration in February known as Hromnice predicts how long winter will last. On April 30, bonfires are lit for Walpurgis Night, when effigies of witches are burnt. During the summer months, Prague is the site of open-air musical performances. In December, Prague twinkles with the lights of the Christmas Markets.
Dinners in the Czech Republic often have several courses consisting of soup, a main dish and dessert. Dumplings are a popular side dish to meats served with gravy. Cheese, potato pancakes, sandwiches and sausages all make hearty snacks. Desserts include sweet rings of bread, called Kolaches, rolled cakes and cookies.
