Travelers do not need a visa for Business or Tourism stays up to 180 days. Travelers need a visa for longer stays.

Travelers visiting the state of Baja California Sur for more than 24 hours are required to pay a tourism tax of MXN 488.00.

This requirement doesn’t apply to the following travelers:

• Travelers visiting other states in Mexico;
• Mexican nationals.

The payment can be made online before arriving in Mexico. A QR code receipt will be issued as proof of payment and may be requested at entry or exit points.

Travelers who hold Mexican citizenship in addition to another nationality are required to present themselves as Mexican nationals when entering or departing Mexico. Travelers entering on a foreign passport may be subject to tourist stay limits and additional immigration requirements.

Travelers need a valid passport to enter Mexico. The traveler's passport must remain valid throughout the traveler's stay in Mexico.
