Making Your Way to St. Louis Airport

Lambert Airport is the biggest and busiest airport in Missouri, but it still operates on a human scale. Travelers say that it’s quick to get through and that the staff may be the friendliest airport workers in the country!

Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are comfortable spaces with lots of seating and power sockets, though you’ll need to pay for WiFi. Additionally, there are fenced pet relief areas which are graced with replica hydrants.

Free shuttle buses connect the terminals 24/7, and it’s also possible to hop on the MetroLink rail line that runs through the airport: be aware that you’ll have to buy a ticket to do so.

Since the airport is only 10 miles from downtown St. Louis, it’s only a short 20 minute drive, as long as you don’t hit traffic. There is an enormous amount of parking, much of it quite affordable and serviced by complimentary shuttles which run around the clock. For public transportation, the MetroLink rail line is a great choice. You also have the option of taking a bus. Two MetroBus lines (routes 49 and 66) stop at Terminal 1.
