Advice to Tourists Visiting Aruba
You’ll need a valid passport to enter Aruba, but Americans, Canadians, and citizens of the EU will not need visas. You should also have your Embarkation and Disembarkation card (ED-card) filled in and signed along with a valid return or onward ticket, and customs may reserve the right to check that you have accommodation and return tickets booked. You’re welcome to stay up to thirty days at a time, but not more than a full 180 days in one year.
The two official languages are Dutch and Papiamento but both English and Spanish are widely spoken, so you shouldn’t have any difficulty. The currency of Aruba is the florin,
or guilder, which cannot be exchanged outside of the country. US dollars are also widely accepted.
