Getting To Tijuana International Airport
If you live in Southern California and wish to fly to Mexico City by way of Tijuana, you can walk over a 390-foot pedestrian bridge from San Diego to the airport. The bridge will take you directly to the main terminal of Tijuana International Airport. You can park your car on the US side or have someone drop you off, then pay $16 one-way to walk to the airport terminal. You can purchase your tickets to cross this CBX Skywalk online or in person at a CBX Xpress facility. This is an international border crossing, so you will need to show your airline ticket and boarding passes, a passport, and your CBX ticket, then go through Mexican Customs and Border Protection. Once you arrive at Tijuana Airport, you can access wireless internet service, purchase food at the Main Terminal, or change currency at one of the two bureaus in the airport.
Mexico City Juarez International Airport Tips
This is the busiest airport in Mexico. It is located just three miles east of downtown Mexico City. There are two terminals that offer duty free shops, restaurants, medical care facilities, currency exchange services, ATMs, banks, and shoe shine services. Hotels are close by and you can rent a car at one of the ten car rental agencies at the airport, with most of them situated in Terminal 1. Having a car in Mexico City is good idea as public transportation can be chaotic and unsafe at times. You can alternatively take a taxi or a hotel's shuttle service, if your hotel offers one. If taking a taxi, you can purchase a ticket in the counters within the airport. While at the airport, you can also purchase sweepstakes and lotto tickets. When you arrive at Mexico City Juarez International Airport, you cannot use an airport baggage trolley yourself to tote your luggage. Authorized service carriers who are uniformed with white shirts, a navy blue tie and dark blue slacks will wheel your bags for you. A 15-25 peso tip is expected for this service.
