easyJet flights & tickets

One of the pioneers of budget air travel, easyJet has grown over the last twenty years to become one of Europe’s largest airlines--connecting passengers on 830 routes across Europe. easyJet stands out amongst its low cost competitors by offering convenience in ways other airlines fall short--for example, easyJet flights fly into popular airports, and the airline allows complementary changes to be made under its “flexi fare” plan.

easyJet’s popularity among business and leisure travellers has led to explosive growth for the airline. In recent years, easyJet has quickly earned itself a place in the UK market as the top airline in terms of passengers carried, and its friendly, approachable company identity--which easyJet refers to as its “Orange Spirit”--extends beyond its promise for low, affordable airfare.

easyJet´s goals in becoming a more diverse, environmentally friendly and charitable company reflect its overall philosophy to be more than just another airline. For example, the company is committed to increasing its employment of female pilots, operates charity partnerships with UNICEF, and has implemented an aggressive initiative to reduce its carbon footprint.

How To Check In to easyJet

easyJet no longer has airport check-in desks, although it’s still possible to check in for free at the bag drop desks. Passengers are encouraged to check in online and print out their own boarding passes to save time at the airport. For even easier check-in, passengers can download the easyJet app and have the app scanned at the airport gates and while boarding the flight.

You can check in online from 30 days before your flight if you’re feeling very organised, or up to two hours before if you’re in a hurry. You can check in for the outbound and return journey at the same time, as long as the flights are both leaving within 30 days, which comes in handy if you’re going on vacation. If you check in online, bring your hold luggage to the bag drop desk. These desks close 40 minutes before the flight’s scheduled departure unless you’re flying from Egypt, Jordan, Israel or Morocco, where they close an hour before the flight departs. Remember to leave yourself plenty of time to get through security.

easyJet Baggage Allowance

Each passenger is allowed to bring one piece of luggage into the cabin. This should measure up to 56cm x 45cm x 25cm. Your bag may have to be placed in the hold if the flight is busy and there’s no space in the overhead bins, so easyJet advises its passengers to arrive at the gate early. Smaller bags (measuring 50cm x 40cm x 20cm) are guaranteed not to be put in the hold. There’s an extra charge for hold luggage, and it is recommended that passengers purchase extra baggage allowance online rather than at the bag drop desk, which will be more expensive.

easyJet Loyalty and Frequent Flyer Program

Travelers on easyJet airlines should look into joining the easyJet Plus program for great benefits on future flights, like additional cabin bag allowance, priority boarding, fast track security passage and permanent allocated seating. Plus card holders also enjoy a range of offers and deals from participating partnerships at the airport and beyond.
