Getting to Queen Alia International Airport
The airport is located 3 miles from the city center of Ammon. On Queen Alia Street near the town center, take a right onto IBN Sina St. At King Abdullah Gardens, turn right onto Off IBN Sina St. and drive north until you reach Zahran St. Turn onto Abdullah Gosho St. and merge with Zahran St. and then take a right onto Airport Drive. There are many airport shuttles and rental car options if you do not want to pay the $25 a day to park at the airport.
About King Hussein International Airport (AQJ)
The annual capacity for AQJ is around one million. Many of those passengers are traveling military and domestic routes. However, there are several airlines that fly international destinations from the airport daily. The location of this airport is unique since it is within 15 miles of three other countries. Many passengers originate from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Israel. It serves as the main hub for Petra Airlines. The airport is a modern facility with several conveniences such as duty-free shopping, restaurants, and money exchange counters.
Getting to King Hussein International Airport
The airport is located just off of the main highway. Traveling south on Jordan Valley Highway for 7 miles from the town center of Aqaba you will simply make a right onto Airport Road and follow the signage. Long-term parking is available for around $30 per day.
