Finding cheap flights from Seattle to Orlando: Frequently asked questions
Leaving Seattle
The Seattle to Orlando route is heavily traveled, and you’ll have a lot of options for booking a flight. You’ll be able to pick from flights by United, Spirit, Delta, American Airlines, and even Alaska Airlines.
You’ll be departing from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, known informally as SeaTac. You’ll likely be departing via SeaTac’s Central Terminal, which has four concourses and roughly a dozen gates each. Getting to SeaTac should be quite easy for you, as you’ll be able to take Seattle’s subway, highways, or buses.
SeaTac can be a bit short on seating options in areas away from the main gates, so it might be beneficial to get to your gate earlier rather than later.
Will There Be a Layover?
There are a couple of sparse options for nonstop flights from Seattle to Orlando, but you should expect a stop and a layover for most flights along this route. It’s quite a long trip, clocking in at somewhere between 9 hours and 16 hours.
Most flights will take around 11 hours, so bring a couple of extra activities. Flights along this route tend to be delayed by weather in the middle of the country—like tornados—so don’t be too surprised if there’s a delay at your layover, too.
Arriving at Orlando
After touchdown at Orlando International Airport, you’ll likely be in Terminal A or B. Each terminal has a couple of airsides, which don’t share the same numbering system for their gates. In Airside 1, you’ll find 29 gates, numbered 1-29, but in Airside 2, you’ll find another 29 gates, labeled 100-129.
If you’re looking for transport, you’ll be able to hop onto the Orlando area’s transit bus system, known as the Lynx. As many arrivals to Orlando will want to head to Disney World, Disney also offers a separate transit system which you can get to at every terminal, which will take you to Disney World.
Similarly, many cruises depart from Orlando, so cruise lines also operate shuttle systems which depart from the airport and will drop you off at their ports.
In Orlando
Orlando is known for its pleasantly warm and humid climate and friendliness to tourists. As a popular vacation destination, Orlando offers an abundance of activities aside from Disney and the cruise lines, including fishing tours, art galleries, and live music. Enjoy the relaxed way of life that the locals share while you’re there.
