Austin’s airport is just five miles outside of the city, making it relatively quick and easy to access. Austin-Bergstrom offers a wide range of parking options, from economy lots at $7/day all the way up to luxury valet services. If you’re looking for an easy public transportation option, the MetroAirport bus service runs every half hour between downtown Austin and AUS. There’s plenty of space for luggage on the bus, and the trip itself takes 20 to 30 minutes. Fare is $1.75.

True to form, Austin’s airport is a cool place to hang out, with live music stages which host an ongoing series of concerts called “Music in The Air” every Monday through Friday. The airport also offers 90 minutes of free WiFi, and there’s a wide variety of restaurants and bars to choose from, many featuring local specialties.
