Cheap Flights to Seoul Incheon International Airport
Looking to book a flight to Seoul's Incheon International Airport? You've got a lot of options. Incheon International is not only the biggest airport on the Korean peninsula, but also one of the biggest in the entire world. Pretty much every major international carrier has regular flights into and out of this airport.
From the United States, you can catch a direct flight with American Airlines (Dallas), Asiana Airlines (many different cities), Delta (Atlanta / Detroit / Seattle), Hawaiian Airlines (Honolulu), Korean Air (many different cities), Singapore Airlines (Los Angeles), and United (San Francisco).
When Are Fares to Seoul Incheon International Airport Lowest?
With most destinations, the busy tourist season is usually the one in which the weather is most pleasant. This is entirely backward with Seoul. Summer in the area is hot, very humid and prone to monsoon rain. Despite this, summer is also the time that the capital is flooded with tourists and airfare, hotels and car rental prices will all be much higher than normal.
The seasons with the nicest weather, spring and fall, are actually the low season for tourism. You'll find the best fare deals from March to May and September to November, and you'll also enjoy the most pleasant trip during this time.
Deals are spotty in the winter. There are some periods of low tourism where you'll find good bargains, but you'll be arriving to very low temperatures and possible snow. Prices also spike during the Lunar New Year period at the end of January, as well as the standard Christmas and New Years holidays.
Arriving at Seoul Incheon International Airport
United States citizens can enter Seoul with just their passports for a stay of up to 90 days. If you plan to stay longer, you'll need to arrange a visa.
If you're hungry upon arrival, you'll find an incredibly large range of food options for an airport here, and many places are open 24 hours. There's also a full range of services available, and free WiFi throughout the airport.
Transportation from Seoul Incheon International Airport
Rail transportation is available from the airport into Seoul (and with connections to its subway system). There is a free Maglev system that departs every 10 minutes, but it only runs from 9 AM to 6 PM. The next best option is the Airport Express, which has two different lines - an express that runs direct to Seoul, and a "all-stop" route that makes a number of stops along the way. Both lines stop running overnight, but a bus that follows the "all stop" route replaces it and leaves the airport once an hour. If you need to go farther than Seoul or to an alternate destination by rail, look into the Korea Train Express line.
Of course, some private shuttle and limo services are also available, as well as car rental. Rental agencies at the airport include Sixt and Avis.
Things to Do in Seoul

For family fun check out Lotte World, which has both regular and water rides as well as an aquarium. And nature lovers will enjoy Seoul Forest, a large urban park.
