Ferries run between all the major islands, so you have quite a lot of flexibility about which airport you choose. On the US Islands, Cyril E. King Airport (STT) on St. Thomas, is the busiest. Around 1.2 million visitors pass through annually. American Airlines, Delta, US Airways, United, and Spirit Airlines all offer direct flights from the US to STT. The airport also often serves British passengers who are heading to the nearby UK Island of St. John. Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) on St. Croix is used mainly for inter-Caribbean flights, but a few direct flights from America are operated by American Airlines, Delta, and US Airways.

For the British Virgin Islands, most flights arrive in other nearby airports and require transfers, usually by ferry.
