Flight Route Options

Direct flights from London to Copenhagen are plentiful, and fairly quick, lasting around 1 hour and 50 minutes. If you’re looking for low-cost tickets, you can fly with either Ryanair or Easyjet – Ryanair departs from London Luton, while Easyjet hosts flights to Copenhagen from both Luton and Gatwick airports. If you’re flying from Heathrow, you can fly with British Airways or SAS, and Norwegian airlines fly from Gatwick.

Pay attention to which airline you’ve booked with, as meal and luggage allowances vary quite a lot from airline to airline. Ryanair and Easyjet are famous for their strict adherence to hand luggage size limits, and you won’t get a free checked bag included with your ticket. Immigration

American citizens do not need visas to visit either the UK or Denmark as tourists for stays under 90 days, although visas are required for work or study in both countries. You will have to pass through immigration upon your arrival into Denmark.

Landing in Copenhagen

Copenhagen airport is well connected to the city by bus, train and metro. Train and metro platforms are located at Terminal 3. Taxis are also available from Terminal 3.

Time Zone, Language, Currency

Denmark is on Central European Time, putting it one hour ahead of London. The main language spoken in Denmark is Danish, however you’ll find that most people speak English to a high level.
