Getting Out of Gotham
Your best -- and cheapest -- bet for getting to and around the JFK or Newark Liberty airports is with the AirTrains. Air Train JFK with service to JFK connects with New York City Transit buses and subways and the Long Island Rail. When you’re at the airport, ride it free to wherever you need on the 880-acre terminal complex.
AirTrain Newark connects to the New Jersey Transit buses and the Northeast Corridor and New Jersey Coast Line Railways. It also navigates between Newark Liberty’s three terminals.
At only 8 miles from Manhattan, LaGuardia is accessible by public bus and subway or taxi. Arriving by car? Daily parking rates max out at between $39 and $59, depending on the lot.
Arriving in San Diego
Public transport options from the airport to your final San Diego destination include the Metropolitan Transit System’s 992 city bus. It operates between 5 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. daily, with passenger pickups at Terminals 1 and 2. The 992 bus also connects with San Diego’s light rail trolley downtown at the American Plaza and Santa Fe Depot Stations.
