Making Your Way to Portland International Airport

If you try to drive to PDX during rush hour, you might find that you spend more time in the car on your way to the airport than you actually spend in flight. In regular traffic, the trip from downtown to PDX will take between 30 to 45 minutes.

Once you arrive, it’s easy to get to the gate. If you go for the Economy lot, however, you’ll need to take a free shuttle to the PDX’s single terminal. It runs every 7-9 minutes between 4:00 a.m. and midnight, and then every 15 minutes between midnight and 4:00 a.m.

If you want to ride your bike to the airport, there’s a bike path, secure bike parking, and even a free work station with tools available to borrow.
