In spite of being a big, busy, somewhat sprawling airport, Seattle-Tacoma is popular with travelers. Its layout somehow manages to make SEA feel far quieter than it actually is, and it’s easy to get around. There’s a central terminal which is connected to four concourses (A, B, C, and D) and there are also two satellite terminals, North and South. The whole airport is connected by a fast underground people mover. 

If you decide to drive to the airport, it’s important to remember that some of the buses to and from certain parking lots can add an additional 10 to 20 minutes to your trip. You also have a lot of alternate options for getting to SEA. There’s a Light Link Rail which runs every 15 minutes or less between 5:00 am and 1:00 am, and connects directly to the airport. A ticket will cost your $2.25. Several bus routes also link to the airport, and if you’d like to ride your bike, you’re in luck! SEA offers many secure bike parking options, indoors and outdoors, short and long term. You can even bring your bike with you: there’s a convenient workstation for those who need to assemble or disassemble their bikes.

If you’re coming to get a good dose of vitamin D, avoid the months of May and June, when clouds frequently cover the city. September’s Santa Ana winds parch the area, elevating the risk of wildfires and driving people into air-conditioning.
