Making your way to Las Vegas McCarran International Airport

McCarran International Airport (LAS) is located just two miles from the Las Vegas strip, so it’s quick and easy to get to. There are a lot of private shuttles to the airport, and taxis are cheap enough that they sometimes cost less than parking. If you do decide to drive, be aware that parking is terminal-specific, so check with your airline before you go. It’s possible to take public transit, as well. Several RTC bus routes serve the airport’s terminals from various points in the city.

There technically three terminals at LAS, but there are only two in operation. Terminal 1 is the busy domestic terminal, and Terminal 3 is the new international terminal. There is free WiFi provided throughout the airport. Anyone traveling with a pet will be glad to know that McCarran has three pet relief areas. And if you need to get in one last gamble before boarding, both terminals have plenty of slot machines.

Arriving in Salt Lake City

Many people who visit Salt Lake City don’t come for the city itself. The enormous Mormon temple which dominates the square, is not open to non-Mormons, but nearby museums, restaurants, and libraries are all worth a visit. Nearby, the Tabernacle is open every day to tours for the general public. If you’re lucky, you may catch a performance by the world-famous Tabernacle Choir.
