With its close proximity to the movie capital of the world, it makes sense that Burbank's principal draws would be entertainment-related. The Universal Studios theme park is just south of the city, but an authentic movie studio tour experience can be had in Burbank at Warner Brothers Studios, featuring back lots and actual film sets. Less than a mile from the studios is Bob's Big Boy, an iconic 1950s-era diner that is part of a Glendale-based chain of family restaurants. Several film and television productions have shot on-location there. They maintain their appeal by hosting a classic car show on Friday evenings and car hop service on weekends. Another option is to attend a television show taping that requires a live audience; studios often make tickets to these available at no cost. Bob Hope Airport is situated amid residential neighborhoods, but there are several hotels immediately to the east. Visitors can also find accommodations in downtown Burbank and in the southernmost section of the city close to neighboring Hollywood.
