A short, 42-minute trip southeast will take you from the sprawling metropolis of Dallas, one of the largest urban areas in the country and a growing economic hub, to Houston, Texas’ most populated city. While they both are classified under the same subtropical climate category, it should be mentioned that Houston lies close to the Gulf of Mexico, and is thus more susceptible to the humid marine air masses that move in from the coast. Dallas is prone to these as well, but typically has drier air.

The airport can be accessed from the south on State Highway 183, or by 114 and Interstate 635 from the north. There are a grand total of 5 terminals and 165 passenger gates at the facility, but it has the potential to accommodate to up to 13 and 260 respectively.
