Austrian Airlines Flights: World Class Travel

Like any major airline nowadays, Austrian Airlines has seen its fair share of mergers, acquisitions, takeovers and buyouts--most recently, it was sold by the Austrian government to the Lufthansa group in 2009. But despite some rather tumultuous financial times, Austrian Air, the national flagship carrier of Austria, has survived over fifty years of service to come out a major player in the aviation industry, and the number one leading airline in Austria.

The award-winning Austrian Airlines has been internationally recognized for providing world class air travel on flights in Austria and around the world for years. In 2016, the airline received several prestigious Skytrax World Airline Awards, including a first place win for the Best Airline Staff Service in Europe for the third year in a row. The airline also picked up a third place win for the best catering service in the world, and was named the fifth best airline in all of Europe.
