Up until 1970, Philippine Airlines operated under the name Philippine Air Lines. As the national flag carrier for the country of the Philippines, Philippines Airlines operates its hubs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport of Manila and Mactan-Cebu International Airport of Cebu. The company's headquarters is at the PNB Financial Center in Pasay City. If your carry-on exceeds these measurements/weight, there will be an Excess Baggage Charge (EBC). Philippine Airlines: Child Fairs/Fees and Minor Service Guidelines

Children between the age of 8 and 11-years-old are permitted to traveled as unaccompanied minors. Depending on where the child is going, there is a charge between $50 and $500. If the passenger does not want to go through with the flight, an accompanying adult is available, the passenger rebooks the flight and turns 12 on the new flight date, or there is a flight disruption or cancellation, the unaccompanied minor service fee is refundable.

Children 2-years-old and younger do not have to have their own paid seat. Philippine Airlines must be informed that you will be traveling with an infant on your lap. Lap children can be held by passengers 15 or older. There is only one lap child allowed per adult. A seat must be purchased for one child if an adult is traveling with 2 infants. The seated infant will have to be in an approved car seat. Children under 2 can generally travel for 10% of an adult fare as long as the infant will be on the lap of another passenger for the flight. If the child turns 2 during the trip, you will have to purchase a return flight ticket.

Bassinets are available for infants who are 6 months and younger or smaller than 25 inches in length if the flight is 3 hours or longer. If you are riding with a lap child, you cannot sit in the exit row.

Philippine Airlines: Pet Policy

Dogs, cats and birds are accepted as baggage if they are in a leak-proof container, have valid vaccination certificates and exit/entry permits, and are accompanied by a passenger who is at least 12-years-old. You should call the reservations office at least 48 hours before the scheduled flight to inquire about the acceptance of pets as baggage at your specific airport of origin.

In Guam, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver and Japan, pets aren’t included in the free baggage allowance. They would be considered an automatic excess baggage (even if the passenger does not have other baggage).

If the pet and container measure 80 inches or less and weigh 50 pounds or less, they will be charged 200% of the applicable excess baggage rate.
