SmartWings Hub

Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (PRG). Situated about 7 miles west of downtown Prague, at an elevation of 1244 feet above sea level, this is the busiest airport in the Czech Republic. In 2017 the airport served more than 15 million passengers, an increase of nearly 18% over 2016. The airport is operating pretty much at capacity, so improvements and expansions are planned. It has four terminals. Terminal 1 is used for flights outside the Schengen area, while Terminal 2 takes care of passengers flying within the Schengen area. Terminal 3 is used by private operators and for charter flights, while Terminal 4, the oldest section of the airport, is used by state officials and VIPs.

How to Check-In to Your Smart Wings Flight

Passengers on flights from Prague on Smart Wings flights QS1000 – 1209 and QS1212 – 1261, and on codeshare flights of Smart Wings’ partner airlines may check in online, starting from 30 hours before flight departure. All other passengers must check in at the airport, as well as passengers traveling in groups of more than 9 people and those needing special assistance. When checking in at the airport, early check-in is highly recommended. Check-in counters generally open two hours before a flight leaves, and close 40 minutes before departure. These times are strictly upheld, and Smart Wings reserves the right to cancel a passenger’s flight if they have not checked in within the proper time frame.

Baggage Allowance on SmartWings Flights

All passengers on all Smart Wings flights are allowed to carry one bag weighing up to 5 kg plus a personal item aboard the cabin of the aircraft. For checked baggage, economy passengers may check one 15 kg bag at no additional charge, while business class passengers are allowed to check one bag weighing no more than 20 kg. Oversized baggage and additional baggage allowances may be purchased for a fee.
